This fine grape seed flour is made from organically grown grape seeds that have been carefully de-oiled and ground. It still contains around 5g of valuable grape seed oil per 100g, as well as vegetable protein and around 59g of fibre per 100g. It is free from additives and preservatives and is 100% vegan and lactose-free.

A special feature of grape seed flour is that it does not lose any of its valuable ingredients when heated. It is therefore ideal for baking and can replace other types of flour proportionally (approx. 10-15%). It gives bread, rolls, cakes and other baked goods a hearty and distinctive taste. It is also ideal for breading meat and fish.

Grapeseed flour: made from the valuable press cake of grapeseed oil

Our organic grapeseed flour is an important by-product of the cold pressing of grapeseed oil from high quality organic grapeseeds. Around 8-12 kilograms of grapeseeds are needed to produce one litre of the light green oil. In the Middle Ages, grape seed oil was one of the most important edible oils, and today it is once again an essential part of any gourmet kitchen. The fruity, slightly tart flavour of grapeseeds can be found in oil and flour. Grape seed oil and flour are culinary highlights for fine dishes and meals.

Usage

Ideal for mueslis and desserts, baking and breading meat and fish. For making bread, fine pastries, as an addition to muesli and quark dishes. Grape seed flour is also suitable for breading meat and fish. In baking, 10-15% of the flour can be replaced with grapeseed flour. As it has a very good swelling capacity, simply adjust the amount of liquid in the recipe accordingly.
