Our organic hazelnut oil is a high-quality edible oil that is cold-pressed from midly roasted nuts. It has a yellow colour and a mild, sweet-nutty taste that reminds of nougat. Due to its smooth sweet taste, it is not only perfect for salad dressings but also for desserts and ice cream. Hazelnut oil is very rich in oleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid, which makes it suitable for short frying and steaming.


The hazel (Córylus) is a genus of woody bushes and trees that belongs to the birch family (Betulaceae). The nuts of some varieties are edible and very rich in fat: Hazelnuts consist of up to 65 % vegetable oil.

Wild hazel trees can be found in Europe, Asia and North America but they are mainly cultivated in Turkey and Italy. In Germany, hazelnuts are mostly harvested by squirrels. Therefore, we purchase the nuts for our oils from certified organic plantations in Turkey (Black Sea Coast). For our mildly roasted hazelnut oil, we use nuts from organic agriculture according to the EU-Eco-Regulations EEC No. 834/2007, 889/2008 and 1235/2008.


Mildly roasted hazelnut oil has a smooth sweet, nutty taste that makes it perfect for raw food and fruit salads, starters, muesli, desserts and dressings. Thanks to its fatty acid spectrum, it is suitable for moderate and high-temperature cooking such as baking or for frying pan cakes, crêpes, waffles or biscuits.

Für leichtes anbraten prädestiniert wegen der dem Olivenöl ähnlichen Zusammensetzung (einfach ungesättigte FS in der Hauptsache . Als Abwechlung zu Olivenöl ein Highlight. ( Nicht für Spaghetti aglio et olio, dafür umsomehr für z.B. Pfannkuchen). Das Haselnussaroma dürfte kräftiger sein, weil geröstet. Das wiederum... mehr >>
spricht für die leichte Röstung.

Sehr lecker. Mache es über mein doc Fleck Frühstück. Mehr rezeptieren fallen mir damit nicht ein. Nachtisch gibt es bei uns kaum. Macht dich nochmal eine Rezeptidee auf eure Website (-; aber bitte nichts im Ofen (das Öl ist ja schon geröstet !)
