Wild Garlic

Local spring-fresh wild garlic meets our mill-fresh, cold-pressed organic canola oil for a full-bodied taste experience. After the aromatic wild herb was almost forgotten for some time, wild garlic made a well-deserved comeback a few years ago. Our wild garlic spice oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vegan, lactose- and gluten-free. Both the wild garlic and canola seeds come from organic farms from the region of our oil manufactory.

Wild garlic - an alternative for garlic

Wild garlic (Allium ursinum), also known as wood garlic or bear's garlic, grows in the moist woodlands of Europe. Its bright green, elliptical leaves are one of the first spring bloomers in German forests. Its byname "bear's garlic" goes back to the believe that once bears, after their long winter sleep, recovered with the nutritious green leaves. Wild garlic is related to garlic and has a strong, fresh taste.

For aromatic, hearty dishes

Our garlic spice oil adds that special something to spring-fresh salads and curd. It pairs well with hearty meat dishes, light vegetable or pasta dishes. Also ideal for marinades, dressings or dips. We recommend not to heat the oil to maintain its full aroma. Simply drizzle the oil over the dish right before serving instead.
