Fresh lemon scented coconut soap
Our Organic Lemon Coconut Soap is a vegetable soap made from virgin coconut oil and cold-stirred using traditional methods. Containing natural essential oils, it nourishes the skin and leaves it with a soothing scent of fresh lemon. The soap is suitable for showering and washing hands.
The lemon tree (Citrus limon) is native to Asia. Depending on the country of origin and growing region, lemons vary in terms of skin thickness and juice content. A lemon with a thinner skin tends to produce more juice. The fruit turns green-yellow as it ripens. The flesh and juice are inside the lemon, and the fragrant lemon oil is in the peel.
Lemons have a sour taste due to their high citric acid content. They also contain vitamin C, pectin and essential oils. The fruit plays an important role in both cooking and natural medicine. It is also popular for its skin care properties. The juice also nourishes the hair and is considered a natural bleaching agent.
Natural product with no fragrance or colouring
We do not use any synthetic fragrances, colourings or preservatives in the production of our soaps. All Solling Naturkosmetik skin care oils, balms and soaps carry the internationally recognised NATRUE seal.
By the way: Our cold-stirred soaps are natural products which may be subject to colour variations. These colour variations do not affect the quality of our coconut soaps - on the contrary, they show that we do not use any chemical additives or artificial colours, but offer a natural product made by traditional handicraft.
Skin friendly soap
Lemon soap is well tolerated by the skin and its fresh citrus scent makes it ideal for use in the kitchen. Cold-stirred coconut soap retains all of its natural lipids, including valuable glycerin, making it ideal for mild cleansing and gentle skin care. Glycerin regulates the skin's moisture and protects it from drying out.
After production, a natural surplus of unsaponified coconut oil remains in the coconut soap. This has a pleasant moisturising effect on the skin with every application. The soft, very smooth and full-bodied lather unfolds its cleansing power on the skin. The soap contains no synthetic fragrances, colours or preservatives. The pH of Coconut Soap is in the alkaline range of 9 to 10. Our coconut soap and cold-pressed coconut oil are said to have a mild antibacterial effect. The coconut oil used in the soap is over 60% medium chain fatty acids and contains 50g of lauric acid per 100g.
Coconut oil - a precious raw material
We use valuable coconut oil to make our Lemon Coconut Soap for good reason. The coconut palm is a versatile resource as almost all parts of the plant can be used. The palm is often referred to as the Tree of Life because it is the most important crop in the tropics and a fundamental source of nutrition. The harvested coconut is classified as a highly nutritious functional food. It is rich in fibre, vitamins, minerals and phenolic compounds. Coconut oil is also an ideal base for our cold-stirred soaps.
None of our coconut soaps are tested on animals. The coconut oil used is certified organic.
The soap carries the NATRUE organic cosmetics label.
This soap is a natural product. Like all skin care oils, balms and soaps from Solling Naturkosmetik, it bears the internationally recognised NATRUE organic seal for "genuine" natural cosmetics.
