Our organic hemp oil is cold-pressed. The greenish oil from hemp seeds is an ideal supplement for dogs, cats and horses.
Hemp seed oil contains over 70g of valuable unsaturated fatty acids per 100g. In addition to linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, hemp seed oil contains around 3g per 100g of gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that is rare in edible oils. Virgin hemp oil, also known as hempseed oil, also contains other valuable phytonutrients such as carotenoids. It also contains vitamins such as tocopherols (vitamin E). Linoleic acid and alpha-linoleic acid have a positive effect on strengthening your pet's cell membranes.
Hemp oil can have a positive effect on metabolic processes and the appearance of the skin and coat in cases of dietary deficiencies. For skin irritations or eczema, the oil can be applied directly to the affected area. Caution with light coats: Due to its chlorophyll content, the greenish hemp oil can have a colouring effect.
Organic hemp oil as a healthy food supplement
Hemp oil has long been popular and well-known as an edible oil for humans. It is used in salads, cereals and yoghurts, in dips and for skin care. Hemp seed oil is also a high quality food supplement for your dog, cat or horse. Cold pressed at temperatures below 40°C, it preserves the valuable ingredients in their best form. Virgin hemp seed oil is free from additives and contains valuable unsaturated fatty acids.
The essential fatty acids in hemp oil can have a positive effect on dogs, cats and horses suffering from dietary deficiencies.

Hemp oil for dogs
For a healthy immune system.A balanced diet is not only important for humans, but also for dogs. Oils such as hemp oil, evening primrose oil, black cumin oil and flaxseed oil can be a healthy supplement for dogs.
From puppyhood to old age, hemp oil can support your dog's vitality. A puppy can be fed about 1 ml of hemp oil per kg of body weight mixed into its food. This is because hemp oil can have a positive effect on the development of a young dog's immune system due to its unsaturated fatty acids. Adult dogs under 5kg should be given around 5ml per day. Larger dogs, over 5kg, can be given 10ml of hemp oil. You can use a teaspoon as a measure for dosing; a full teaspoon is about 5ml of hemp oil.
Hemp oil for barfing
The term "BARF" or "Barfen" stands for "Bones and Raw Food". Barfen is a type of feeding for carnivorous animals. It refers to the raw feeding of carnivorous animals such as dogs and cats. The main ingredients in barfing are meat, bones and offal. Small amounts of fruit and vegetables are also fed. As with eating in the wild, all ingredients are fed raw. Raw feeding increases the dog's intake of omega-6 fatty acids, so omega-3 fatty acids in particular should be supplemented.
However, hemp oil can be fed as a healthy supplement to dogs of all breeds and sizes, not only when raw, but also when fed with appropriate dry and wet foods.
Hemp oil for cats

Hemp oil can also be added to the diet of cats. Your velvet paw will benefit from the polyunsaturated fatty acids. The skin, coat and immune system can be supported by feeding hempseed oil regularly. The annual grooming process is particularly tiring for cats with longer coats. In addition to regular brushing, the addition of hemp oil can help. Oils stimulate hair growth and can be particularly beneficial for dull coats and dry skin.
In nature, a cat's diet consists of small mammals such as mice, birds and insects. These prey animals also provide the cat with a small amount of vegetarian food found in the stomach contents of the prey. Like dogs, cats can be fed an oil when they vomit. The revitalising effects of hemp oil, linseed oil or evening primrose oil are a high-quality addition to dry or wet food.
From about 3 months of age, cats can be fed about 1 ml of hemp oil per kg of body weight 3-4 times a week. An adult cat weighing 5 kg would therefore be given a teaspoon of hemp oil several times a week. Caution: Black seed oil and pellets are poisonous to cats because, unlike horses and dogs, they cannot completely break down the bitter constituents.
Hemp oil for horses

Horses with sensitive skin can benefit from feeding hemp oil. The skin becomes more elastic and dry patches can be reduced. Feeding valuable hempseed oil has been shown to be particularly effective in supporting coat change in spring or autumn.
The oil is naturally high in calories, making it an ideal supplement for horses that eat a lot. The essential fatty acids in hemp oil can have a positive effect on the horse's metabolic processes and coat change in the event of feed-related deficiencies. At the same time, regular feeding can help maintain a shiny coat. In winter, hemp oil can help the horse to waste less of its own fat reserves and thus maintain its body temperature better. Hemp oil can strengthen the horse's immune system. In addition, the high mucilage content stimulates intestinal activity and can help prevent colic.
You can also try our pellets, such as linseed press cake, which is produced when brown linseed is processed into linseed oil. The pellets, which are also available in black cumin, milk thistle and night candle varieties, are a high quality feed for horses.
