Evening primrose skin care oil

Our organic evening primrose oil is a care for very dry skin. It is one of the few vegetable oils that contain a combination of essential linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (10 g per 100 g). It protects sensitive skin and regulates the moisture balance. It is recommended especially for flaky, irritated skin.

Evening primrose oil for regenerating skin care

Evening primrose oil is appreciated for its content of linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid. It is free from fragrance and essential oils and helps even dry or flaky skin to retain moisture for a long period of time. Evening primrose oil is known for its good skin tolerance and protects the sensitive skin of the face.

Mix & Match

Individual and unique: Every skin is different and so are its needs. Therefore, all of our skin care products can be mixed to match your individual needs. Our evening primrose oil can be combined with creams and lotions. Just add a small amount to your face cream for more skin elasticity and extra moisture.

Regenerating face mask

2 tsp. evening primrose oil
1 tsp. honey
¼ avocado

Mash the avocado with a fork, mix the remaining ingredients and apply to clean face. Let sit for at least 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

Face scrubs with skin care oils

Skin scrubs can help the skin to regenerate and unclog the pores. Making your own scrub with our evening primrose oil at home is very easy: Simply mix sea salt, coconut flower sugar, almond meal or coffee grounds (depending on the desired grain) with the oil, gently apply the mixture in circular movements and rinse with lukewarm water. This way, dead cells are removed and the skin is revitalised and pampered.

The evening primrose botanically

Evening primroses flower from June to October and reach heights of up to one metre. The yellow blossoms have a grape-shaped flower head. An individual blossom only blooms for one day and is replaced with a new one. This shows how quickly the evening primrose flowers develop. The fruits of the evening primrose have an elongated shape. The round seeds of the plant can be found on the inside of the fruits which are around 3 cm large. For the manufacturing of our precious evening primrose oil, we only use seeds from controlled organic cultivation.
