Sacha Inchi Coconut Skin Balm

Sacha Inchi Coconut Skin Balm is a treat for stressed skin. Virgin coconut oil, shea butter and mango butter form the basis of this delicately melting balm. The coconut oil not only provides a pleasant fragrance, but also acts as a natural protective layer of unsaturated fatty acids. Sacha inchi oil, with its natural omega-3 fatty acid content, provides optimal skin care. Red palm oil provides antioxidants (vitamins A and E). The balm can be used on the face and body and is also a good treatment for very dry areas such as elbows and knees.

Sacha inchi oil contains 50g of alpha-linolenic acid, 35g of linoleic acid and around 10g of oleic acid per 100g, so like linseed oil it is rich in alpha-linolenic acid. The high alpha-linolenic acid content has a cell regenerating and cell activating effect. The oil has a characteristic tart odour which dissipates immediately after application to the skin.

Sacha Inchi - a botanical treasure

The oil is considered a botanical treasure from the Amazon jungle. The indigenous people of the Amazon and the Incas used it for skin and body care. It is also used as a high quality cooking oil in South America. It is made from sacha inchi, the Inca peanut, a herbaceous plant in the Euphorbiaceae family. Sacha inchi is grown organically by small farmers who depend on it for their livelihoods. The use of this oil supports traditional farming methods, species conservation and the survival of ancient crops.

Fragrance free and skin friendly

Sacha Inchi Skin Balm contains no essential oils. This makes it particularly kind to the skin. It is most effective when applied to moist skin after cleansing with a mild soap, as this allows the active ingredients to penetrate better. The balm is also a good treatment for irritated skin after shaving.

Exfoliants for face and body

Exfoliants help the skin to regenerate and cleanse the pores. You can easily make your own scrubs with our skin balm: Mix sea salt, coconut blossom sugar, almond bran or coffee grounds, depending on the grain size, with the melt-in-the-mouth balm, sweep over the skin in circular motions and rinse off with lukewarm water. This gently exfoliates while revitalising and nourishing the skin. Body scrubs are best used in the shower.
