This organic white wine vinegar is made from high quality wines. Carefully produced, it develops into a light, fresh vinegar that is ideal with delicious summer salads. Its pleasantly tangy flavour is a must for any kitchen. An absolute classic, our White Wine Vinegar is more versatile than almost any other vinegar. It can be used to enhance leafy salads, sauces and dips. The acidity of this vinegar is around 6%.

Traditional production thanks to the mother vinegar

If you find a cloudy, gelatinous mass in an open bottle of vinegar after a while, it does not mean that the vinegar has gone off. Quite the opposite. It is a good sign that the vinegar has been traditionally produced and is not pasteurised: A so-called "mother of vinegar" is formed. This is the name given to the important acetic acid bacteria that convert alcohol into acetic acid with the help of oxygen. When vinegar is opened and exposed to oxygen, these natural helpers can become active again.

Vinegar in the kitchen

Vinegar and oil are a culinary dream team. Our fine vinegars and mill-fresh oils can be used to make dressings in endless variations. The basic recipe is very simple: 1 part vinegar, 3 parts oil and salt and pepper to taste. Our vinegars are also great for seasoning soups and sauces, and wherever a touch of acidity is needed to add a little extra flavour. Tip: A splash of vinegar in mineral water is refreshing and thirst-quenching on hot summer days.

Der Mindestgehalt an Säure ist gesetzlich vorgeschrieben:

min 5 % Säure bei Obstessig
min 6 % Säure bei Weinessig

Wir würden Ihnen daher empfehlen, von Weinessig auf Obstessig umzusteigen. Zusätzlich sind die Obstessig i.d.R. etwas süßer und lassen den Säuregehalt nicht so durchkommen.
