This pure edible oil is cold-pressed from the fruits of the milk thistle. The milk thistle is a classic bitter herb that was already cultivated as a "liver plant" in monastery gardens. The milk thistle plant has purple blossoms and spiky leaves. It is rich in soothing and well digestible substances such as silymarin, which can be found only rarely in today's nutrition. Milk thistle oil also contains large amounts of vitamin E and is very popular in natural medicine for its beneficial effects on the liver.
Due to its mild taste, milk thistle oil is ideal for salad dressings or as ingredient for muesli.
