Ölmühle Sollings spicy salad oil is a fine blend of freshly cold-pressed sunflower and rapeseed oil combined with extracts of fresh basil, tarragon and dill seeds. As well as salads, the salad oil can be used to enhance dips and sauces of all kinds and to add a special touch to fish dishes, cottage cheese dishes or vegetable soups.

A valuable combination of rapeseed and sunflower

Low in saturated fat, high in monounsaturated oleic acid and with a balanced ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids, our cold-pressed organic rapeseed oil is a highly recommended edible oil for everyday use. Solling Organic Sunflower Oil is also made from organically grown, hulled sunflower seeds, which are gently cold pressed. It contains mainly mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The combination of these two valuable edible oils forms the basis of our spicy salad oil.

The salad oil gets its full-bodied and spicy flavour from extracts of fresh basil, tarragon and dill seeds. We recommend this fine salad oil blend for both classic and unusual salad dressings. It pairs perfectly with light and dark balsamic vinegars in dressings. The salad oil can also be combined with fruity vinegars such as raspberry vinegar or apple balsamic vinegar from Ölmühle Solling to create delicious dressings.

How to turn a quick meal into a delicacy

The salad oil with the spice trio of basil, tarragon and dill seeds is suitable for quickly seasoning and refining tomato and cucumber salads, fish dishes, quark dishes and for seasoning vegetable soups. It is also ideal for dressings and dips with yoghurt or sour cream. This spicy salad oil goes perfectly with a little parsley or chives and makes colourful salads a culinary highlight. Our tip: Try the spicy salad oil with a little salt and pepper as a starter or as a snack with a fresh baguette.

Spicy Salad Oil has been awarded the title of Culinary Ambassador of Lower Saxony 2014. The Culinary Ambassadors stand for masterful, responsible and culinarily sophisticated food production. The competition was launched in 2010. Since then, more than 1,500 food products from the regions of Lower Saxony have been tested and evaluated. Around 400 products were awarded the prize. Our spicy salad oil was one of them. The interesting product idea and the authentic, Lower Saxon company history spoke in our favour from the jury's point of view.

Usage

The correct and gentle use of cooking oil in the kitchen:

Depending on the recipe, ingredients are lightly salted and heated to the desired doneness. Then, just before serving, add the seasoning oil as desired. The oil can be heated moderately in a frying pan or wok. Drizzle one or two spoons full of your favourite oil over the dish to add the desired flavour. Finally, use a spoon or spatula to gently spread the spiced oil over the dish.

Appetising starters, hearty menus, fresh salads, dips and even soups and sauces are all perfect with the herb and spice oils - even when you need to prepare them quickly. There is no need to spend time marinating, because the oil contains the full, natural flavour - made drop by drop to meet the high expectations of the taste of fresh herbs and spices.

Es schmeckt nicht schlecht, aber man muss aufpassen, dass nicht zu viel genommen wird, da die Gewürze sehr hervorschmecken.
