Our virgin sunflower seed oil is extracted from organically grown peeled sunflower seeds through gentle cold-pressing. This preserves the essential fatty acids, vitamins and phytochemicals as far as possible. The light yellow oil with the mild taste mainly contains mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as vitamin E (around 48 mg per 100 ml). Our organic sunflower seed oil is vegan, lactose- and gluten-free and free from genetic engineering.
Sunflower seed oil is said to be especially well digestible. Due to its mild and pleasant taste, it is very versatile and can be used for cold and warm dishes. However, sunflower seed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and therefore not suitable for frying at high temperatures. We recommend to only use it for brief steaming over moderate heat.
Usage
Sunflower seed oil is very versatile and ideal for cold and warm dishes. It is suitable for homemade mayonnaise, dips, marinades or tartar sauce as well as for brief steaming over moderate heat. Its mild and nutty taste refines salads of all kinds. Sunflower seed oil can also be used for oil pulling.
