Sesamsamen

Ölmühle Sollings pure sesame oil is cold-pressed from unroasted sesame seeds. This preserves the valuable ingredients and typical flavour of the variety. Unroasted, virgin sesame oil is an important ingredient in Ayurvedic and macrobiotic cuisine. Compared to sesame oil pressed from roasted seeds, virgin sesame oil has a particularly mild taste. Pale yellow in colour, sesame oil is a pure, natural product with a long shelf life. Connoisseurs of Asian cuisine love and appreciate the mild aroma and taste of virgin sesame oil.

Sesame oil for frying

Our cold-pressed sesame oil is ideal for frying and heating food. It is therefore particularly popular in hot dishes. It gives a typical strong flavour to Asian dishes. Sesame oil is particularly good for frying tofu and vegetables. Of course, oil made from virgin or toasted sesame seeds can also be used in cold dishes and is perfect as a dressing for papaya and mango salad, for example.

Oil pulling with sesame oil

Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic alternative medicine method that involves rinsing the mouth with pure vegetable oils. Oil pulling, also known as oil treatment or oil chewing, is used to clean the teeth and tongue. It is used to remove toxins and improve oral hygiene, as well as to eliminate bacteria and other pathogens from the oral cavity and therefore from the body.

The virgin sesame oil from Ölmühle Solling is ideal for oil pulling. Once a day, swirl two teaspoons of oil around in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes and pull between your teeth. The sesame oil must then be spat out as it absorbs the toxins from the mouth. At the end of the treatment, the mouth can be rinsed with water. In addition to sesame oil, coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, black cumin oil and other unrefined, virgin edible oils are also suitable for oil pulling.

Sesame oil for skin care

In Ayurvedic medicine, sesame oil is traditionally used not only as an edible oil but also as a massage oil. Due to its high content of phytosterols and valuable skin-related fatty acids, it penetrates well into the skin and increases its suppleness and resistance. For massage, apply the oil to moistened skin and massage gently. Use as a bath oil on its own or mixed with a little cream or milk and stirred into warm bath water. With regular use, the skin becomes smoother, softer and more supple.

Usage

Virgin sesame oil is particularly recommended for salads, diet and light dishes. However, sesame oil can also be used to prepare hot dishes and is even suitable for frying (up to around 180°C). It is popular in Asian cuisine for frying tofu or refining papaya and mango salad. In Ayurvedic applications, virgin or "matured" sesame oil is preferred for skin care and massage.

War bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Benutzen wir täglich morgens zum Ölziehen. Über die Berichterstattung in der Sendung Markt im NDR zu Sesam vom 25.01.2021 und den Rückrufaktionen seit Oktober bin ich schockiert. Hier wurde gesagt, dass wegen Salmonellenbefall der Sesam mit Ethylenoxid (ETO) begast wird. ETO ist hochgiftig... mehr >>
und krebserregend. Selbst in Bioqualität wurde es gefunden. Können Sie mir sagen, ob Ihr Öl frei davon ist? Ansonsten würde ich das Öl zurücksenden und auch nicht mehr verwenden. Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe.

Sesamöl kann etwas höher erhitzt werden und das kommt gut bei der täglichen Zubereitung von z.B. Gemüse. Erst die Zwiebelchen, dann das Gemüse.... einfach lecker! Wo ich früher Butter genommen habe, kommen jetzt abwechselnd Sesam- und Erdnußöl zum Einsatz. Beide unterstreichen den Geschmack des Gemüses sehr gut. Über... mehr >>

Dieses Sesamöl habe ich zum ersten mal bestellt. Es schmeckt frisch, mit leichter Sesamnote. Ich werde es in der Küche, aber einen Teil abfüllen und zum Ölziehen verwenden. Hervorzuheben ist bei all den Sollinger Ölen die dunkle Flasche mit praktischem quadratischen Querschnitt und Ausgießer. Ich liebe es und werde... mehr >>

Sesamöl in guter Qualität, die Flasche hat auch einen dosierer unterm deckel im verschluss, ja kleine features die ein Öl haben sollte. Bin kein ölagent und die Qualität kann ich nicht mal vergleichen, das ist das erste mal das ich Sesamöl überhaupt in der Küche stehen hab.
