Local spring-fresh wild garlic meets our mill-fresh, cold-pressed organic canola oil for a full-bodied taste experience. After the aromatic wild herb was almost forgotten for some time, wild garlic made a well-deserved comeback a few years ago. Our wild garlic spice oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vegan, lactose- and gluten-free. Both the wild garlic and canola seeds come from organic farms from the region of our oil manufactory.
Wild garlic - an alternative for garlic
Wild garlic (Allium ursinum), also known as wood garlic or bear's garlic, grows in the moist woodlands of Europe. Its bright green, elliptical leaves are one of the first spring bloomers in German forests. Its byname "bear's garlic" goes back to the believe that once bears, after their long winter sleep, recovered with the nutritious green leaves. Wild garlic is related to garlic and has a strong, fresh taste.
