Black cumin oil on spoon

Our Egyptian Black Cumin Oil is gently cold-pressed and filled into pure vegetable capsules. The vegan capsules are ideal for daily supplementation. The popular black cumin oil is known for its strong, spicy, slightly peppery flavour, which is particularly important in oriental cuisine. As well as being used to enhance dishes, the oil is also popular in naturopathy. The oil is organically grown and has a high linoleic acid content. The vegan capsules are easy to take, tasteless and easy to dose. The recommended daily dose is six capsules (3g of oil). The capsules are guaranteed to be free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives. The bottle contains 180 capsules.

Vegan capsule shell

Capsule shells often contain ingredients derived from animal by-products. A common ingredient is bovine gelatine. The capsule shells that contain our Black Seed Oil are made from certified and purely vegetable ingredients (HPMC) and are therefore suitable for a vegan diet. Our capsules are ready-to-use capsules.

Black seed oil and its effects

Black Cumin Oil Capsules

Black cumin oil contains a high amount of essential, double unsaturated linoleic acid. In loose form, the oil has a distinctly intense flavour of its own, which is due to the bitter constituents. The bitter compounds are also the reason for the popularity of black cumin oil in natural medicine. In the Orient, this popular natural product has been a traditional remedy for thousands of years. It is still used there today not only for digestive and immune system support, but also as a household remedy for skin and hair care.

The origin of black cumin

As a spice, black cumin seeds are best known for their use in flatbread and various oriental dishes. Black cumin seeds look very similar to black sesame seeds. Black cumin was once known in this country as "bread root" and grew in many farmers' gardens before being forgotten. In Egypt and surrounding countries, black cumin has been very common since the time of the Pharaohs and has always been used for a variety of purposes. Even today the best varieties thrive in Egypt.

Phytochemical Thymoquinone

Thymoquinone is a phytochemical. It belongs to the terpene group and is found in black cumin. Our black cumin oils have a minimum content of 266mg/100g thymoquinone. The aroma profile of thymoquinone is often described as spicy. The smell is reminiscent of a hint of black pepper, oregano or thyme.

Terpenes serve a variety of functions in the plant kingdom, including protection against pests, attraction of pollinators and defence against pathogens. They also contribute to the characteristic scents and flavours of many plants. For example, they are found in the essential oils of citrus fruits, conifers and flowers such as lavender and rosemary.

Usage

Recommended dosage: Take 3 capsules in the morning and 3 in the evening, unchewed, with plenty of water. Do not exceed the recommended dose (6 capsules per day). Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
