Our Organic Grape Seed Oil is a gently cold-pressed edible oil made from high quality organic grape seeds. It takes about 8-12 kilograms of grape seeds to produce one litre of this light green oil. Grape seed oil was one of the most important edible oils in the Middle Ages and is still very popular in gourmet cuisine today. The fruity, slightly tart flavour of grape seeds is found in the oil - a culinary highlight in fine dishes.

Extracting the precious oil from freshly pressed grapes requires a great deal of effort, which is reflected in the price. Depending on the region, variety and location, grape seed oil can have a very individual taste. The oil is very delicate due to its predominantly unsaturated fatty acid spectrum. After cold pressing, it should be stored in dark bottles, tightly sealed, cool and away from light. The spring doser on our bottles reduces the contact of the oil with oxygen after opening. We recommend that you consume the grape seed oil within 6-9 months. During this time the tart, fruity flavour of the oil is well preserved.

Grape seed oil in the kitchen

Grape seed oil is a popular salad oil that goes well with classic vinegars. It can also be mixed with other oils. A classic dressing of olive oil, grapeseed oil and raspberry vinegar enhances rocket and leaf salads. The tart, nutty flavour of grapeseed oil is best preserved when used cold. We also recommend it for marinades, dips and as a culinary highlight with steamed vegetables.

Grapeseed oil for skin and hair care

In addition to its use as an edible oil, grapeseed oil is a popular oil for skin care. It can be used on its own as a rich moisturiser or mixed into your daily moisturiser for face and body. Grapeseed oil is particularly recommended as a facial treatment for those with oily or combination skin and for those with blemishes. The oil is absorbed very quickly without leaving a greasy film on the skin. Grapeseed oil can also be used as a massage and bath oil.

Grapeseed oil is also a popular hair oil. Used regularly, it makes hair easier to comb and gives it a silky shine. It also protects the scalp. A weekly leave-in treatment is recommended. Simply apply a few drops of grapeseed oil to towel-dried ends and style as usual.

A hair treatment with grapeseed oil has an intensive nourishing effect on the hair: Depending on the length of your hair, simply apply 1-2 teaspoons of oil to towel-dried hair and leave on for a few hours or overnight. Then wash with a mild shampoo.

Usage

Light green grape seed oil is ideal for refining leafy salads, vegetable dishes and for making dips, marinades and sauces. The mild acidity of grapeseed oil often means that vinegar is not needed, but special vinaigrettes can be made in combination with fruit vinegars. Grapeseed oil can also be used with cheese or to marinate meat. Due to its high linoleic acid content, we recommend that you do not use our grape seed oil for frying, but only for steaming.

Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen habe ich nach gesunden Ölen gesucht, es wurde mir empfohlen eine Mischung aus verschiedenen Ölen zu meiner täglichen Nahrungsergänzung einzunehmen. Hier im Shop habe ich alle 4 benötigten Öle gefunden. Habe jedes einzelne Öl zuerst pur probiert, alle haben den Geschmackstest bestanden. Das... mehr >>
Traubenkernöl hat mich besonders mit seinem guten Geschmack überzeugt.Die Ölmischung kommt bei mir nun täglich über den Quark und den Salat, außerdem passt es gut in selbstgemachte Aufstriche. Es ist für mich fester Bestandteil meiner gesunden Ernährung. Ich werde hier wieder bestellen.

Dieses Öl habe ich hauptsächlich wegen der ausgelobten Hautpflegeeigenschaften gekauft, bin aber nicht sicher ob es dafür meinem Anspruch genügt. Es hat einen für mein Empfinden unangenehmen Eigengeruch und eine grüne Farbe. Vielleicht experimentiere ich noch mit Mischungen.... Werde es wohl besser in die Salatsoße... mehr >>

Dieses Öl ist etwas ganz besonderes. Ich bin so froh, dass ich diese Qualität bei Ihnen gefunden habe. Das Öl ist ein Geschenk an die Haut. Gleichzeitig verwende ich das Öl als Zugabe zu köstlichen Rohkostsalaten. Selbstverständlich würde ich diesen Artikel weiter empfehlen.

Das Öl hat eine sehr gute Qualität. Ich benutzt das Öl zur Gesichtspflege und meine Haut verträgt es sehr gut. Der Geruch ist für mich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, was aber spezifisch für Traubenkernöl und natürlich eine Frage des persönlichen Geruchsempfindens ist.

Ein super Öl, das für verschiedene Zwecke genutzt werden kann. Schmeckt sehr lecker als Dressing im Salat (gemischt mit etwas Olivenöl). Ist nussig mild im Geschmack mit einer leichten säuerlich-fruchtigen Note. Auch super für die Hautpflege bei empfindlicher Haut.

Botanical name: Vitis vinifera

Origin:
The grape seeds used for pressing come from the grapes. After pressing, the grape stalks and skins are washed. This makes it easy to separate the seeds, which must then be dried to prevent them from going mouldy. In this country, special drying ovens are used to dry the grape seeds with circulating hot air. Elsewhere, grape seeds are washed and then dried in the sun. Grape seeds from German vineyards are rare. Grape seeds from southern Europe and South Africa contain more oil and are usually dried very gently in the sun. The seeds for our virgin grape seed oil are currently sourced from a winery in Rheinhessen, Germany.

Certification:
The grape seeds for the production of our grape seed oil come from controlled organic cultivation from producers certified according to BIO VO 834/2007 and VO 889/2008.

Grape seed oil has a high proportion (approx. 88%) of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The valuable linoleic acid (omega 6 fatty acid) makes up around 69% of this. The content of saturated fatty acids is low.

Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 of the European Parliament restricts nutrition and health claims made on foods. This means that from December 12, 2012, it will no longer be possible to refer to the nutritional and physiological effects of foods and food supplements. (Only the pharmaceutical industry is now allowed to do this. )
