Our Omega 3 Algae Oil Lemon scores with its innovative formula with a high omega-3 content. The oil blend is a combination of sustainably sourced algae oil and MCT oil with a subtle hint of lemon.

Easy to take with a high omega-3 content

With one teaspoon (5 g) of our omega-3 algae oil, you consume 1,155 mg DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and 578 mg EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). The comparatively high dosage is ideal for positively influencing omega-3 levels. Our oil blend with algae oil can be an ideal alternative, especially for vegans, vegetarians or people who eat a fish-free diet.

DHA and EPA are particularly important for the increased need for omega-3 fatty acids during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We recommend that pregnant and breastfeeding women take the high-dose lemon algae oil every four days. This will cover their increased requirement of 250 mg DHA and EPA + 200 mg DHA per day.

Plant-based alternative to fish and fish oil

Cold-water fish are among the animal sources of omega-3. In addition to fish, DHA and EPA can also be found in plant sources such as the microalgae Schizochytrium. EPA and DHA are therefore so-called aquatic or marine fatty acids. If you have an omega-3 deficiency, follow a vegetarian diet, are not a fish lover or do not eat fish for health, ethical or ecological reasons, our algae oil with lemon provides you with an optimal supply of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA.

Gentle extraction of algae oil

Algae oil is produced using a fermentation process similar to the fermentation of yeast. The algae species Schizochytrium naturally produces the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA. This process takes place in a fermenter. This supplies the algae with sugar and other nutrients. As soon as sufficient omega-3 fatty acids have been produced, the fermentation juice is filtered. The algae cells are then mechanically broken down to release the algae oil.

DHA and EPA - beneficial for the heart, eyes and brain

DHA and EPA are among the polyunsaturated, essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce sufficiently itself. They must therefore be obtained from food or omega-3 products.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has already approved the following health claims for DHA and EPA in the Health Claims Regulation:

  • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and brain function. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA*.

  • EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA*.

  • The intake of DHA by the mother contributes to normal eye development in the fetus and breastfed infant. The positive effect occurs when 200 mg DHA is taken daily in addition to the recommended daily dose of omega-3 fatty acids for adults (250 mg DHA and EPA)*.

  • The mother's intake of DHA contributes to normal brain development in the fetus and breastfed infant. The positive effect occurs when 200 mg DHA is taken daily in addition to the recommended daily dose of omega-3 fatty acids for adults (250 mg DHA and EPA)*.

(*In the context of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle).

Omega 3 in oil and capsule form

We offer various Omega 3 products: Omega 3 capsules, Omega 3 oil with walnut, Omega 3 oil with sea buckthorn and the high-dose Omega 3 oil with lemon. All of them are a natural, vegan omega 3 supplier. The omega 3 capsules and the high-dose omega 3 oil contain DHA and EPA. In addition to DHA and EPA, the omega 3 oils with linseed oil also contain the omega 3 fatty acid ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). Depending on your individual lifestyle, needs, dietary habits and state of health, a different dosage form may be suitable for you.

Our Omega 3 Algae Oils Linseed & Walnut or Linseed & Sea Buckthorn combine the three essential omega-3 fatty acids alpha-linolenic acid, docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. Just one tablespoon (8 g) of the oil blend covers your daily requirement of ALA, DHA and EPA.

Our Omega 3 capsules are ideal for easy dosing of DHA and EPA. Two capsules provide you with 300 mg DHA and 150 mg EPA. We recommend that you also consume linseed, chia seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, linseed oil, walnut oil or hemp oil to ensure that you have a sufficient supply of the essential omega-3 fatty acid ALA.

Our omega 3 algae oil with lemon is suitable for people who do not eat fish at all or who already have an omega 3 deficiency. We also recommend our linseed, chia seeds, hemp seeds and walnuts as well as our linseed oil, walnut oil or hemp oil to ensure you are supplied with all the essential omega-3 fatty acids.

Usage

Recommended intake: Take one teaspoon (5 g) daily in combination with a meal, for example stirred into yoghurt or muesli. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of the reach of young children.

The dosage can vary greatly depending on your state of health and diet. In case of uncertainty, an omega-3 index should be determined by a doctor, nutritionist or alternative practitioner.

Was soll ich sagen.
