Organic Linseed Oil

Organic linseed oil, also known as flaxseed oil, is extracted from the ripe seeds of the linseed plant (also known as flax). It is a healthy and natural edible oil that is cold-pressed fresh from the mill every day at our oil mill in the Weserbergland region of Germany, and then gently filtered. Apart from linseed, hardly any other seed contains such high levels of the valuable omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid. Our freshly milled, cold-pressed organic linseed oil contains around 50g of alpha-linolenic acid per 100g and can be kept for eight to ten weeks after production.

Correct storage will maintain the quality of this precious linseed oil. Once opened, please keep our organic linseed oil tightly closed and in the refrigerator. Do not use it for frying, but rather for preparing cold dishes such as baked potatoes with curd and linseed oil.

Organic Hemp Oil

Our organic hemp oil is cold-pressed from organically grown hemp seeds. The greenish oil has a mild nutty flavour. The oil contains over 70g of unsaturated fatty acids per 100g. In addition to linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, it contains around 3g per 100g of gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that is rare in edible oils. Virgin hemp oil also contains other valuable phytonutrients such as carotenoids. It also contains vitamins such as tocopherols (vitamin E). The high levels of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid have a positive effect on strengthening cell membranes. Hemp oil is also known as the 'queen of edible oils'. It has an ideal 3:1 balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids.

Our hemp oil, with its mild fragrance, is also very popular as a skin and hair care oil. It can be used on its own as a rich moisturiser or mixed into your daily moisturiser for face and body. Dry, sensitive and mature skin in particular benefits from the moisturising and protective properties of cold-pressed hemp oil.

Organic Black Cumin Oil

Our Egyptian Black Cumin Seed Oil is cold pressed fresh from the mill from fully ripened Egyptian Black Caraway Seeds from organic sources. It is then simply filtered, not deodorised or refined, and is characterised by its golden yellow colour and balanced flavour. It can be heated to a maximum of 90°C. As a vital oil, it is enjoyed pure by the spoonful, but is also used as a typical seasoning for oriental dishes. Black cumin oil is dominated by the essential, double unsaturated linoleic acid. This helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 10g of linoleic acid (equivalent to about 2 tablespoons of 8g). A special feature of black cumin seed oil is its high content of essential oils, ranging from 0.5g to 2.5g per 100g depending on the harvest year and growing conditions, as well as bitter and tanning agents such as nigellin and thymoquinone. These give black cumin oil its distinctly intense, typical flavour, but also explain its popularity for a variety of folk uses.
