Frying with oil

Ölmühle Solling's frying oil is made from hulled high oleic sunflower seeds from certified organic cultivation. It is gently cold-pressed and then gently deodorized, i.e. gently filtered using steam. The deodorization ensures a particularly mild taste. The frying oil has a high oleic acid content of around 80 g per 100 g. This and the deodorization make the oil very heat-stable.

It is suitable for steaming, frying, baking and deep-frying. Our frying oil is vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free. It should be stored at room temperature and always well sealed. The pouring aid on our bottles facilitates precise dosing.

Using oil for frying

Our cold-pressed oils are at their most valuable when they are exposed to as little heat as possible. However, there are also suitable oils in our range for frying at high temperatures - you can use our deodorized frying oil, for example.

Deodorization is a process in which steam is used to filter out substances from the oil that can degenerate when heated. While some oils are ideal for hot cooking, others should only be consumed cold. Excessive heating through frying or deep-frying can destroy sensitive, unsaturated fatty acids. They then not only lose their health benefits, but can even form harmful trans fatty acids. The following applies: The smoke point should not be reached/exceeded.

The difference between our frying oil and our virgin sunflower oil

Sunflower seeds are available in different types from different varieties, which differ not only in shape and color, but especially in their ingredients. For the production of our frying oil, we use the seeds of the high oleic sunflower, a specially bred species with an impressively high oleic acid content. Naturally, cultivated varieties should not be confused with genetically modified organisms. Our organic frying oil is of course free from genetic engineering.

The conventional, virgin organic sunflower oil from Ölmühle Solling contains mainly monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as vitamin E (approx. 48 mg per 100 g). It is ideal for making mayonnaise, remoulade, dips or marinades.

Das Bratöl ist nicht so meins. Es ist geschmacksneutral und somit eigentlich zum Braten gut geeignet. Aber irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, daß ich davon mehr brauche und ich finde es spritzt auch. Jedenfalls muss ich sehr aufpassen mit meinem Induktionsfeld, damit es mir nicht zu schnell zu heiß wird. Mal sehen, ob wir... mehr >>
beiden uns noch anfreunden können.

Geschmacklich gut. Intensiv kernig, nach Sonnenblumenkernen. Ein umweltfreundlicher Mehrweg-Behälter und eine konkrete Herkunftsangabe, die über "EU-Landwirtschaft" hinausgeht, wäre wünschenswert.

Ich finde, dass das Bratöl 500 ml aus Sonnenblumenkernen beim Braten in der Pfanne (Fleisch, Fisch) nur minimal weniger als das "normale", günstigere Sonnenblumenöl spritzt.

bin nicht ganz zufrieden mit dem Geruch / Geschmack - vielleicht muss das so sein, aber für mich erscheint es etwas "ranzig"

noch nicht ausprobiert mich würde noch interessieren, wie heiß man es erhitzen darf, ohne das Transfette entstehen?
