Our organic coconut rasps are made from freshly harvested coconuts which are finely rasped and then gently dried. This preserves the authentic coconut aroma and taste. The coconut oil (VCO) in the coconut rasps is rich in saturated fatty acids. Coconut rasps are naturally free from gluten, lactose and cholesterol. Our product is neither sulphurated, nor bleached and is free from preservatives.
Versatile uses of coconut rasps
Coconut rasps are suitable for versatile uses in the kitchen. They can be used to refine muesli, as topping for cakes and pastries and for baking, e.g. for coconut macaroons. Coconut rasps are a perfect ingredient for Asian cuisine and add that certain something to curries. Gently toast the rasps in a pan so that they are slightly crispy. They are also ideal for breading chicken nuggets, for homemade pancakes or pralines, for baked bananas, fruit salads or even for raw food. Coconut rasps are a culinary all-rounder and add a pleasant crispiness to any dish. If you like, you can even use them to prepare homemade coconut milk.
Suitable for low-carb diet
Coconut rasps are also suitable for a low-carb diet because they only contain small amounts of carbohydrates. Our product is exceptionally fresh and has an authentic taste of coconuts. Naturally, our coconut rasps come from sustainable organic farming only and are produced in fair working conditions.
Furthermore, coconut rasps are a natural source of potassium. Their content of potassium (around 912 mg per 100 g) is seven times higher than their content of natrium. Potassium is an electrolyte that is needed for the functioning of all cells.
